MEG EVENTS CALENDAR    updated 26th March 2024 MEG monthly General Meetings are held on the THIRD Tuesday of each month.  Meetings start at 7.30 pm and many members enjoy  a meal in the dining room before hand. Visitors always welcome. The boom gate to the lower car park should be open between 10.00 & 10.30 am for our members.  Current Government Covid rules will apply. Monday Morning Coffee at The RSL  MARCH	  Friday 1st March		ANSTO TOUR March 1 - Ansto Tour and Lunch at the Cafe Afterwards arrive at 9.30 sharp for a  tour that goes from 10am until 12.30 and then lunch in the cafe.  Come for a tour of Ansto with us, numbers are limited to 30 people at a cost of 15  dollars per person, so will be first in and bring cash on the day to give to Jenny Adair  so she can organise payment.  There are also some personal details we will need to  collect for this tour that have to be provided in advance, and whatever details you  provide will need to be brought on the day to show before you can go on the tour, ie  drivers licence or passport.  Also to note you will need to wear closed in shoes, no sandals and no photos,  camera and phones with cameras will need to be left in locker or in your car.  Health considerations. - due to the presence of high magnetic fields in certain areas,  visitors who are fitted with the following medical devices must inform the Discovery  Centre staff on arrival for the tour.        A cardiac pacemaker or implantable defibrillator       A catheter that has metal components       A metal clip placed to prevent bleeding from an intracranail aneurysm       A medication pump (such as that used to deliver insulin or a pain relieing drug       A cochlear (inner ear) implant.  There is a small amount of walking on this tour the rest will be in their transport  provided. Friday 15th March  Picnic Run to Fitzroy Falls Resevoir. Meet at Southern Gateway Centrel for a 10.30 departure. There are some BBQ's and picnic tables, but I would suggest you may want to bring your own picnic chair.   After some lunch, games and laughs we can then drive to the  BIG SHED to have a browse at all the old wares within ! Friday 22nd March  Lunch at The Bass & Flinders Pavillion Cafe. Meet at The Bass & Flinders car park on the north western corner of Captain Cook Bridge. Sunday 14th April  Cars ‘n Coffee Kurnell Meet in the carpark at the western end of Kurnel, to enjoy swapping  tall stories and lies about the cars you have owned. Park under the club.		  MAY 2024  Friday 3rd May Illawarra Fly Meet at Southern Gateway Centre for a 9.30am departure. Approx 1hr & 10mins to The Fly. If you don’t wish to do the Fly meet at The Illawarra Yacht Club at 12.15 for lunch.  You will need to purchase your own tickets to enjoy the tree top walk which you can do online at  the following link.  Purchase tickets to the 11am walk and I suggest you do this now  so you don't miss out. -    Sunday 19th May National Motoring Heritage Day Berry  Sunday & Monday 26th & 27th May n.b. Sunday & Monday Nights Bundanoon & The Southern Tablelands Currently the two days are looking like a Sunday morning start with a visit to a  winery at lunch time on the way.  Then the afternoon to explore Bundanoon and join  everyone for drinks in the afternoon at the motel.  Then off for Thai for dinner.  On  the Monday we will take a trip to Berrima with a visit to the old goal, lunch at the pub  and then explore the local shops in Berrima.   At sunset we can go and see the glow  worms before dinner at Bundanoon Pub.  Home on Tuesday.  This is subject to  changes pending on numbers and getting bookings at places.
