National Heritage Day - Berry 2011
This annual event was well attended by the MEG contingent. The Meggers and
friends met at Subway Heathcote for coffee and a yarn for an 0800 departure.
It was a beautiful Sydney autumn day, just perfect for a casual drive down the
coast to Berry. The journey took only a bit over an hour and a half for the 105
kilometres. The convoy worked well with no incidents or stress.
On arriving at the Berry Showground and claiming our piece of ground everyone
had a wander around to check out the variety of classic vehicles. It didn’t take
long though for a group of the ladies to be seen raising a cloud of dust as they hit
the road up to the shops. The guys were much more relaxed, after viewing the
cars they made a leisurely stroll up to the main street for a look and a coffee.
All in all, a pleasant and relaxing day.
